Who we are

Career Compass is an executive search firm based in Dublin, run by Julianne Hatton. We are the data controller for the personal details you share with us through this website.

You can contact us about your data at any time at jhatton@careercompass.ie.

What we collect

When you join our Talent Community, we collect your name and email address, your CV or LinkedIn profile, and anything else you choose to add: your current role, the sector you work in, and whether you have the right to work in Ireland.

If you email us, we keep that correspondence. This website does not use cookies or advertising trackers. We may count visits in a way that does not identify you.

How we use it

We use your details to contact you about roles that match your experience, and to keep in touch about your career. We do this with your consent, which you give when you submit the form.

You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing us, and we will stop contacting you and delete your details.

Who we share it with

We never send your CV or details to a client without speaking to you first and getting your agreement for that role.

We use a small number of trusted service providers to run this website and our email, such as the form service that delivers your details to us, our website host and our email provider. They process your data only on our instructions. Where any of them handles data outside the European Economic Area, we rely on the safeguards that data protection law requires.

We do not sell your data or share it for marketing.

How long we keep it

We keep your details for two years from our last contact with you. Before that point we may ask whether you would like to stay in our Talent Community. If you do not, or we do not hear back, we delete your details.

Your rights

You have the right to see the data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive a copy of it. To use any of these rights, email us and we will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.
